The fact is, in most cases we can make predictions through Machine Learning and AI, but to do so in a meaningful and impactful way, historical data needs to be accurate, comprehensive, and absent of bias.
In order to make the best predictions, we believe internal teams with domain expertise should be responsible for annotating and curating data. It's called data labeling, and it’s a process of real people giving meaning to the information they see on the screen. HumanSignal was founded to take data labeling to the next level.
We believe that data labeling is a team sport. Data scientists, subject matter experts, engineers, operations, and annotators must work collaboratively to ensure quality results and an efficient process. That’s why we created Label Studio, which has quickly become the most popular open source data labeling platform with a 250K+ users around the world and millions of labeled samples, alongside a community of thousands of data scientists sharing knowledge and working to advance data-centric AI.
In late spring 2022, HumanSignal raised $25 million in Series A funding, bringing our total funds raised to $30 million from notable investment partners Redpoint Ventures, Unusual Ventures, Bow Capital, Swift Ventures, as well as angel investors.
HumanSignal is a fully distributed organization with people all over the world. We have team members in North America, Europe, and South America across 6 countries.
About the Opportunity:
As a member of our small but mighty Revenue organization, you will have a tremendous impact on the company. In this role, you will be responsible for helping new customers get up and running with the Label Studio Enterprise’s product. You will also work with existing customers to help solve their challenges in this quickly evolving MLOps/GenAI industry.
Here are some of the key responsibilities of a Solutions Architect at HumanSignal:
- Onboarding: Work with new customers (both SaaS & On-Premise) to understand their needs and goals, and then strategize a plan with the CSM to help the customer achieve those goals.
- Retention: Work with existing customers to ensure that they are satisfied with Label Studio Enterprise and that they are getting the most out of it.
- Customer Growth: Help existing customers grow their business by identifying new opportunities and developing solutions to meet those opportunities. In addition to these technical responsibilities, Solutions Architects at startups also play an important role in building relationships with customers and helping them to succeed. They are often the first point of contact for customers, and they are responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive experience with the startup.
You’ll be the first Solutions Architect so you’ll be able to establish frameworks, best practices and more importantly wear multiple hats to leave your mark.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of experience as an Enterprise Solutions Architect experience ideally working with ML / big data / Cloud / SaaS products
- Proven abilities to conduct both technical and business discovery
- Experience with ML model development across NLP, CV, Audio, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to present highly technical personas
- Self-motivated, proactive, and thrives working in a remote environment
- Capable of working across multiple functions and open to taking on varied responsibilities
Within 1 month, you'll:
- Work alongside the Sales Engineering + CSM team to learn about Label Studio
- Understand Label Studio’s deployment requirements by meeting with various engineering stakeholders
- Help onboard your first SaaS Customer
- Get your toes wet a bit 🙂
Within 3 months, you'll:
- Help onboard your first On-Premise Customer
- Work alongside Product to prioritize customer feedback
- Showcase & demo new product features to customers
Within 6 months, you'll:
- Identify technical use case expansion opportunities
- Create and sustain consultative relationships with new and existing customers
- Work with the Support team & Technical Writer to develop a technical onboarding framework for new customers

We are hiring for this role across North America but have a strong focus for applicants in central or eastern time zones. If an employee is meeting revenue objectives as outlined in our commission plan we anticipate the annual on-target earnings for this role to be between $195,000 to $230,000. This range is provided by market data and is in good faith. The final offer details are determined by several factors including candidate experience, expertise as well as applicable industry knowledge, and may vary from the pay ranges listed above.
