About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for an engineer who loves building product and working directly with customers. You’ll alternate between shipping production-ready features and partnering with customers to support their integration and success with Orb, collaborating closely with Customer Success to understand goals, guide technical setup, and unblock challenges. Along the way, you’ll write custom logic or tooling as needed and turn those insights into scalable product improvements with the broader Engineering team.

In this role, you will:

• Guide technical implementation during customer onboarding and unblock complex workflows

• Build custom tools and integrations, then evolve them into core product features

• Identify patterns in customer needs and inform the product roadmap with real-world insights

• Contribute across the stack to ship features and enhance internal tools

• Collaborate across teams to deliver a seamless end-to-end customer experience

• Increase customer team efficiency by automating manual processes

About you:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in fast-paced or startup settings

• Enjoy blending engineering with customer interaction, like a solutions architect or forward-deployed engineer

• Skilled at solving complex problems and turning ambiguity into clear solutions

• Strong communicator, able to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences

• Empathetic and user-focused, with a passion for intuitive, problem-solving products

• Comfortable working across the stack and exploring new technologies

• Driven by impact and motivated by helping customers succeed
